Yau Kam 尤金

He began learning to paint from a young age and received professional painting training. His works in the 1970s were selected for the Beijing Fine Arts Exhibition, and in the 1980s, his works were chosen for the Contemporary Asian Youth Fine Arts Exhibition, where he also won an award.

In the 1970s, he taught at the Linghai Art School (嶺海藝術專科學校). In the 1980s, he worked as a columnist illustrator and theater poster artist for several newspapers, including the Oriental Daily (東方日報), Sing Tao Daily (星島日報), Cheng Pao (成報) and Sing Pao (新報).

Over the years, he has held public office in Hong Kong and has been tireless in promoting the arts. He has served as a Sponsor Council Member for the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing, China (中國北京尤倫斯美術館), and is an important collector of contemporary art in Hong Kong.
