太極書畫 - 毛筆意象
Professor King Chia-Lun (金嘉伦教授) is the first artist in Hong Kong to obtain a Master’s degree in Painting from prestigious universities in Europe and America. He once served as the Director of Art Programs at the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s School of Continuing Education and holds a significant position in the development of Chinese calligraphy and painting art. Focusing on Tai Chi aesthetics derived from the I Ching, Professor King (金教授)established his own systematic theory of “Two Goals and Three Theories in Calligraphy and Painting,” pioneering the unique style of King’s Tai Chi Calligraphy and Painting (金氏太極書畫).
This collection is divided into three parts: Theory, Technique, and Philosophy. It compiles his years of theoretical research and discourse on calligraphy and painting, accompanied by hundreds of image analyses of both traditional Chinese and Western paintings. It is hoped that this work will serve as a reference for contemporary young and middle-aged artists, inspiring them to practice and contribute to the true development of modern Chinese calligraphy and painting.
