金嘉倫 – 太極書畫浴火重生

King Chia-lun 金嘉伦 holds an important position in the development of contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy art. As the founder of Taiji painting and calligraphy 太极书画. He summarized Taiji aesthetics into three principles: coherence of energy, the mutual balance of yin and yang, and overall harmony. He advocated for the creation of “Two Goals and Three Theories in Painting and Calligraphy”: “the unity of painting and calligraphy, inheriting the past and opening up the future,” as well as “Taiji aesthetics, the Six Principles of Chinese painting, and the Nine Principles of Visual Beauty.” These serve as guiding principles for the modernization of Chinese painting and calligraphy.

The first half of this art album introduces King Chia-lun 金嘉伦 creative journey through four periods. Each stage is accompanied by text detailing the emergence and development of his creative philosophy, followed by a display of works from that period. This album contains over a hundred works, among which there are many original calligraphy and painting works that have never been exhibited or published, and their value is extraordinary. The latter half of the album is curated by the editor from King Chia-lun 金嘉伦  hundreds of essays on art theory.
